This is such a hidden gem. The food is great. The lady that works the front of the restaurant is so sweet. She is always there. They have lunch special bento boxes until 4:30 pm. Really a lot of food with a soup, salad and beverage for around $10-13. Good deal. Sushi prices are cheap. Great selection of Japanese beers. We will be back.
Amazing food and service. Been here a few times. The Bento boxes and ramen are both delicious. Would highly recommend.
This is our go-to spot for salmon in Poway ❤️ Great service and nice atmosphere. The Salmon lover's combo, spicy ahi poke appetizer and tuna tataki roll are our favorites.

Wow! Wow! Wow! This restaurant is excellent! The food here was reasonably priced and the food was amazing. Presentation of the food was excellent. The service here was great. The lady taking our order was so kind. Will be coming back here again. If your in the Poway area please stop by and grab a bite to eat.
Extremely chill sushi place, with amazing service. Consistantly good sushi.. I'm sure the other stuff is great too we just havent tried it cause the sushi is too dang good! If you want a crowd and music and stuff theres other places but if you just want some amazing sushi here it is! ( also: Clean bathroom and ample parking so, yay!)
I have the best Japanese sushi spot in walking distance… my family and I always go to this place… the girls are so efficient and super nice and the environment is so tranquil, simply a great spot for every occasion ????????????????????????
We have always loved this place from the first time we dined in years ago. The food is always delicious and fresh. Please be patient, as they don’t have a lot of help and this is a mom and pop shop. The pandemic has made small businesses close doors and I hope people will be kind and understanding. Order early and be patient, it is always worth it. Support local businesses.
This place is so good! I think I have a new favorite place to eat when I'm in town! I had the sesame chicken bento box and I loved it! The vegetable tempura was really good, so was the sesame chicken! It also came with miso soup and a drink! The customer service is excellent and they were so nice!
We have been coming to Ichizen for the past 30 years. It reliably serves great Japanese food at very reasonable prices. Even with several other Japanese restaurant in the vicinity, we always come here for its hospitality and familiarity.
